Written skills

Reading and writing

A fun memory game to develop their reading skills with the help of listening. Because many of the preschoolers do not read and write, we cannot ask them this type of task. Moreover, through this game, they can start to pay attention to the spelling of the words.

Reading and writing

Let's learn the sounds in English and how we can link them with their writing.

The children will have to pay attention to the sound of the different letters so they can create words. This can be one of their first approach to reading and writing in English.

This is an activity they will do with all group class, on the first day. After that, they will do it in pairs with a tablet or a computer. In this way, they already know how is the mechanism and they'll require less help from the teacher, giving the teacher more time to walk around to make sure they are doing properly the activity.

Oral skills

Listening and speaking

We learn more about farm animals. Through listening to this video they can learn about many farm animals and some that do not live in them. They will learn about the name of the animal as an adult, the name as a baby and where do they live.

Once they've seen the video the teacher will have all the adult and baby animals cut out, as well as the places where they live and it will be stuck on the blackboard. With all the group class, taking turns, they will have to put the adult and the baby in the right place where they live.

Oral skills

Listening and speaking

The game to learn the farm animals in English, with their translations in Spanish and with their sounds.

This is an activity to do with all the group class, as an introduction or revision of different farm animals.

                                                                        Who am I?

After the revision, the teacher will divide the class into small groups. Each group will have a set of memory cards with the farm animals previously worked. The aim of this game is to repeat the animal's name every time the student flips a card. In this way, we'll work on the memorization of the farm animals.
